Program Grands Crus
Program Grands Crus is an independent initiative founded by Norwegian-Vietnamese choreographer Tony Tran and developed together with Nguyễn Đức Hùng. The program aims to build sustainable connections between artistic communities in Vietnam and the Nordic region, fostering long-term artistic and cultural exchange.
The program's initial period runs from 2026 to 2028 with the following objectives:
To support independent performing artists and choreographers across Vietnam, creating opportunities for artistic research, development and production.
To strengthen connections between artists, organisations and artistic communities in Vietnam and the Nordic region, encouraging new relationships and opportunities across different contexts.
To facilitate meaningful exchange of knowledge, resources and perspectives, supporting artists' professional development and creating possibilities for international mobility and collaboration.
Artists involved in Program Grands Crus may have opportunities to conduct research, develop and produce new work, connect with artistic communities and engage in international exchange.
Program Grands Crus responds to the limited infrastructure and resources available to many independent performing arts practitioners in Vietnam. Through partnerships and international networks, the program seeks to expand access to artistic, professional and production opportunities while encouraging exchange and learning in both directions.
Vietnam and the Nordic region form the starting point for Program Grands Crus. In the longer term, the program aims to develop relationships with artists, organisations and cultural networks across Southeast Asia, the wider Asian region and Europe.
